Trump expresses dissatisfaction with Iran's restart of the Strait of Hormuz plan

Golden Finance reports that on April 28th, multiple individuals familiar with the internal discussions at the White House Situation Room revealed that President Trump has informed his aides that he does not approve of the latest proposal from Iran to restart the Strait of Hormuz and end the conflict. According to officials from both the U.S. and Iran who are familiar with the negotiation details, the plan also demands that the U.S. lift the maritime blockade but deliberately postpones related issues regarding Iran’s nuclear program. Iran has repeatedly rejected U.S. proposals for Iran to suspend its nuclear activities and surrender its stockpile of highly enriched uranium. It is currently unclear why Trump is dissatisfied with the plan, but he has consistently taken a hardline stance, insisting that Iran must not develop nuclear weapons. One U.S. official admitted that accepting this plan could prevent Trump from achieving a political victory. (East New Agency)
