According to Hubei Daily, Wuhan Qingshan police recently solved multiple major cases involving virtual currency and cybersecurity. Cybersecurity team officer Guo Tingyu led the investigation at the beginning of 2024, which was the first virtual currency theft case in Hubei Province.

The police found that suspect Huang's gang developed a fake virtual currency wallet app and listed it in app stores to attract users, resulting in a large number of user assets being stolen. The app was downloaded over ten thousand times, with involved funds reaching over 100 million yuan. Currently, all five suspects have been apprehended. Additionally, in February 2025, the police successfully responded to a ransomware attack targeting a large enterprise, identified the foreign IP behind the attack, and recovered hundreds of thousands of yuan in losses.
