CryptoWorld News reports that, according to Criptonoticias, Colombia's largest pension fund management company, Porvenir, has launched a crypto investment portfolio, allowing users to gain indirect Bitcoin exposure through investing in BlackRock IBIT. The product is only available for voluntary pension accounts, with a minimum investment of 100k Colombian pesos (about $25), and participation requires a risk assessment. Porvenir stated this in response to the trend of a 64% annual growth in crypto users in Latin America, reaching approximately 79 million people. Previously, local pension providers Protección and Skandia had launched similar products, emphasizing their positioning as long-term asset allocation tools.
