2026.4.27 U.S. Stock Market Overview


U.S. stocks are fluctuating narrowly near record highs, with the market remaining cautious ahead of this week's busy schedule of tech giant earnings reports, Federal Reserve interest rate decisions, and the latest developments in the Middle East.
1. VIXY fell 3.34%, closing at 27.81.
2. The three major U.S. indices are slightly fluctuating at high levels. The S&P 500 index rose 8.83 points, up 0.12%, to 6,173.91, reaching a new all-time closing high again. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 62.92 points, down 0.13%, to 49,167.79. The Nasdaq rose 50.502 points, up 0.20%, to 24,887.10, marking two consecutive days of record closing highs.
3. Nvidia increased by 4%, Google A rose 1.72%, Tesla rose 0.6%, Meta rose 0.53%, Microsoft rose 0.05%, Amazon fell 1.11%, Apple fell 1.27%.
4. The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index declined 1.20%, closing at 6,868.78. Among popular Chinese concept stocks, Atour fell 5.4%, Century Internet dropped 4.2%, GDS, Bilibili, and Alibaba each declined over 2%.
5. Domino's Pizza dropped 8.8%, after this delivery chain's first-quarter sales failed to meet expectations.
6. Bitcoin dropped from $79,500 to $76,500 at one point, a nearly 2% decline.
