Abstract generation in progress

CryptoWire News, GitHub announces that all Copilot plans will switch to usage-based billing starting June 1, with the original “Premium Requests” billing method replaced by GitHub AI credits, and costs will be calculated based on actual token consumption, with rates matching the publicly available API prices for each model. This adjustment is the final outcome of GitHub’s recent ten-day tightening measures, after suspending new registrations for Personal Pro, Pro+, and Student plans on April 20, tightening usage limits, and removing Claude Opus from the Pro plan. On April 22, they also paused self-service registration for Copilot Business for Free and Team organizations. Subscription monthly fees remain unchanged: Pro at $10/month, Pro+ at $39/month, Business at $19/user/month, and Enterprise at $39/user/month. Corporate customers will receive additional credits between June and August, and any unused credits can be shared within the organization.
