The bill was introduced on March 26 as part of electoral law reforms aimed at increasing transparency, strengthening enforcement, and reducing foreign interference risks. It will next go to committee for review and may still be amended; there is currently no fixed review date. Meanwhile, Canada is advancing its stablecoin regulatory framework and improving rules related to crypto investment funds, custody, and cold storage.
