These days, I’ve been tempted again by all kinds of social mining and point tasks, honestly just afraid of missing out: when others show off badges and levels, I can’t help but think “I need to have some kind of identity too.” But let’s calm down—many things are actually just exchanging time for an uncertain expectation, especially during the incentive wave on testnets, where everyone in the group is guessing whether the mainnet will issue tokens, and the more they guess, the more anxious they get.

My current principle is a bit blunt: only do things that won’t affect my sleep. If I do participate, I treat it as product experience and a chance to see if there are any pitfalls in the mechanism, not as earning wages. It’s nice that badges can bring a bit of a ceremonial feeling, but don’t exhaust yourself—there will always be another round of on-chain opportunities. That’s all for now.
