Lately, watching lending pools feels a bit like checking the trending search list; as hot topics change, everyone's collateral and borrowing also switch channels: yesterday, they were still chasing testnet incentives and earning points, today they’re guessing whether the mainnet will issue tokens. To put it simply, attention is just cost; if you focus on it, it can pull you along. My clumsy approach is: first, figure out what I really want to earn—more stable interest, or gamble on an airdrop expectation; if I just rush in because “everyone is doing it,” I’ll probably be forced to buy at a high price or take over when the next hot topic shifts. (Sometimes it’s really like feeding fish—when they rush to eat, the water gets muddy.) Anyway, I prefer to watch whether big players’ collateral suddenly thins out; if it thins, I’ll move less, so I don’t let emotions confirm my decisions.
