Recently, I’ve been bombarded with various “social mining” and “point task” notifications. To put it simply, points are just a temporary identity tag; today it’s you, tomorrow the rules might change, and badges don’t necessarily mean much. My current approach is quite straightforward: first ask myself if I would normally do this; if yes, I casually earn the points, if not, I just skip it—don’t waste time chasing a badge.

Some people are discussing modularization and the DA layer, and developers are quite excited, while users are mostly confused. I feel that ultimately, this kind of narrative still comes down to user experience; otherwise, having more points just creates anxiety for oneself. Anyway, I’ll focus on things that can be used long-term and explained clearly—drawing a couple of quick sketches feels better than staring at a task progress bar.
