Crypto World News reports that, according to Bitcoin Magazine, U.S. lawmakers and White House officials say clear crypto regulations will determine whether the U.S. remains a leader in financial innovation. Senator Cynthia Lummis warned that another hostile government could mean the end of “rational regulation.” In a discussion titled “Are We Gaining More Clarity?”, legislators emphasized that political changes could disrupt progress in crypto regulation. Lummis pointed out that the 2026 election cycle is a direct test of whether Congress can establish a lasting framework for digital assets. White House Digital Asset Advisor Patrick Witte set an ambitious vision for U.S. leadership, calling crypto “the future of financial infrastructure,” and directly linking this claim to the passage of the Clarity Act. He stated that once lawmakers provide a clear regulatory framework for digital assets, “Bitcoin and crypto will soar like rockets.”
