Recently, people keep asking me, "Isn't on-chain data real-time?" Basically, what you see as "on-chain" is mostly relayed by others: the wallet's RPC nodes might be queuing, or connected to lagging nodes; some apps rely on indexers/subgraphs to feed data, and if indexing is slow, you might think nothing has happened; plus, with the sequencing and bundling pace, fees being crowded, the feeling is "I just completed a transaction, why hasn't it shown up yet"... Anyway, don't take the page as gospel. When macro expectations of rate cuts change, risk assets and the dollar index can both go haywire, and on-chain data might still be delayed. The more anxious you are watching the market, the easier you are to be misled by false "gaps." Right now, I just cross-verify with multiple RPCs/browser checks, and if I can wait for confirmation, I do, to avoid scaring myself.
