California Man Gets 70-Month Sentence for Laundering $3.5M in Stolen Crypto

The DOJ said Evan Tangeman was sentenced to 70 months in prison for laundering at least $3.5 million in stolen digital assets. The DOJ said the laundering was tied to a $263 million crypto crime enterprise that operated from no later than October 2023 through at least May 2025. Tangeman is the ninth person to plead guilty in the case.
