Recently, I’ve seen a few new L1/L2 projects offering incentives to boost TVL, and veteran users in the group complain about “mining and selling,” which I can really empathize with… To put it simply, this social mining setup—points, badges, identities—all ultimately keep people tethered to the task wall. I’m not against participating in governance, but every time I see the “community growth” section in the budget written in fancy language, yet the execution is just issuing tasks and farming, it gets a bit annoying.

I used to punch in daily, repost, and join rooms just to get a badge, but I later realized that the most valuable thing isn’t the badge, but the time and attention you’ve drained. Now I care more about who manages multi-signatures, who gets incentives, and whether the exit mechanisms are clearly written… Anyway, don’t make me trade my life for a string of points, forget it.
