Golden Finance reports that on April 28, Iranian Foreign Minister Alaghaji stated on the 27th that Russian President Putin met with him in Saint Petersburg that day, and the two sides had a one-and-a-half-hour “productive” discussion. Alaghaji, who is visiting Russia, posted on social media that during the meeting, both sides discussed and examined many issues in detail, including Iran-Russia bilateral relations and regional issues, as well as the invasion wars initiated by the United States and Israel. The two sides also put forward many beneficial suggestions for deepening cooperation between the two countries. Currently, the foundation of Iran-Russia cooperation is solid. Alaghaji said that Putin expressed that Russia and the entire world admire the Iranian people, “admire their resistance against the United States.” Alaghaji thanked Russia for supporting Iran in “this unequal and unjust war,” and announced that the strategic partnership between the two sides will continue to strengthen under the new circumstances. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov also stated that the meeting between Putin and Alaghaji was “productive and constructive.” (Xinhua)
