Just now I was checking a small protocol event on the chain, and the page suddenly "stuck for a moment." I thought my internet was acting up again... Later I realized it's probably not the chain being slow, but the data layer gasping for air: some use subgraph/indexers, which are not updated in real-time; others connect directly to RPC, which gets rate-limited and throttled, and after a few retries, it feels like a sudden pause. To put it simply, what you're seeing isn't "nothing happening on the chain," but "the data pipeline you're using is congested." Recently, new L1/L2 incentives to boost TVL have caused a rush of interactions. I understand that old users complain about mining, profits, and selling, but don't forget: when more people join, indexers and RPCs can't handle it first, and the experience will feel like lagging during a raid... I'll slow down a bit now to avoid gas bills turning into experience points again.
