Iran Strikes on Ras Laffan Raise Helium Supply Risks for AI Buildout

Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft forecast about $650 billion of capital spending in 2026, but helium supply used in semiconductor manufacturing is tightening after Iran struck Qatar’s Ras Laffan Industrial City. Russia also imposed helium export controls through the end of 2027, adding to supply pressure.
