Recently, I saw a bunch of "delegate your votes to a certain representative," basically for convenience, but over time it has started to distort: governance tokens ultimately end up being controlled by those few accounts that are delegated the most. Small investors holding a single vote end up just handing over their voting power, thinking they are participating… I now prefer to earn less but actually look at what the proposals are changing, who is pushing them, and whether there are conflicts of interest. The same goes for attention shifts like memes; veteran players advise newcomers not to just pass the baton at the end, not because they’re pretending to be knowledgeable, but because they’ve seen people get excited and impulsively delegate their decision-making to emotions. For now, that’s enough—I don’t want to be just a background player anymore.
