Zelensky proposes to continue extending the national state of emergency for 90 days

The official website of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada (parliament) said on the 27th that Ukrainian President Zelensky submitted a draft decree to the Verkhovna Rada that day on continuing to extend Ukraine’s national wartime status by 90 days. The draft decree proposes extending the current national wartime status in Ukraine from May 4 to August 2. According to Ukraine’s National News Agency, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will vote this week on the draft decree to extend the national wartime status. This is the 19th time since the escalation of the Russia-Ukraine conflict in early 2022 that the Verkhovna Rada has voted to review and extend the national wartime status. (Xinhua News Agency)
