Recently, I've seen the secondary market toggle the royalty switch back and forth, and I'm actually quite conflicted: on one hand, I think creators shouldn't rely on "moral extortion" to make a living, on the other hand, I'm really afraid it will end up with only floor prices and mutual bidding wars on fees. To put it simply, only what the code can enforce is the real rule; the rest is just hype... But don't treat creators as air; they might really leave.
The modular, DA layer approach has been a hot topic among developers lately, and I can understand users being confused: when you talk about usability data, they only care about "Is the art I bought still worth it?" The same goes for royalties—don't force everyone to take sides. My boundary is: I don't need to be understood, but I will write risks into the contract/expectations. If you can accept it, come; if not, that's normal. Anyway, I'm watching first, and if I get the itch, I'll try a small amount.
