Recently, I think the moves of the big real estate investor Grant Cardone are interesting. He announced that his Cardone Capital plans to tokenize a real estate portfolio worth $5 billion.

What’s notable is why this timing is happening. Grant Cardone has been paying attention to Bitcoin for a while, and in June he purchased 1,000 coins. He also plans to buy more in the future. In other words, he’s not just a real estate businessman; he’s seriously considering asset management in the blockchain era.

Tokenization will allow investors to gain collateral and liquidity in the secondary market. This could lead to the democratization of real estate investment. Currently, the real estate tokenization market is still small, but according to Deloitte’s forecast, by 2035, $4 trillion worth of assets will be tokenized, with an annual growth rate of 27%.

The fact that major investors like Grant Cardone are starting to move seriously might be a signal that the market has truly entered a mature stage. Especially if institutional investors begin to focus on real estate tokenization, this sector could accelerate rapidly. We might see more tokenized assets being handled on Gate.io as well.
