South Korea's stock market total market capitalization surpasses 6,000 trillion won for the first time in history

Golden Finance reports that on April 27, South Korea’s three major stock indices’ total market capitalization surpassed 60 trillion won for the first time in history. According to a report from the Korea Exchange on the 27th, the total market capitalization of the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI), the KOSDAQ Index, and the Small and Medium Enterprise Stock Price Index (KONEX) reached 6047.917 trillion won (approximately 28 trillion yuan RMB), respectively 5367.637 trillion won, 676.642 trillion won, and 3.638 trillion won. Among them, KOSPI and KOSDAQ showed strong momentum, and this month the two indices’ gains have already exceeded 30% and 16%, respectively, strongly driving the rise in the total market capitalization of the stock market.
