Recently, I've been doing "side quests" on the chain again, interacting while watching the order in the block. The more I watch, the more it seems like someone is cutting in line at the entrance of the dungeon. To put it plainly, the most uncomfortable part of MEV isn't the whales; whales can tolerate slippage. The ones truly affected are solo players exchanging small amounts for different tokens, claiming airdrops, or completing new protocol tasks: you think you hit the button and it's a deal, but then you're snatched away, and the experience = gas bill doubles directly.

These days, I also heard that some regions are increasing taxes and tightening compliance, and the expectations for deposits and withdrawals are more uncertain. I’ve actually lowered my expectations: I no longer expect "fair transactions," just hope I won't be treated like an ATM. Now, placing orders feels more like rolling dice; I use limit orders when I can, delay interactions when I can... it’s a lot more relaxed. Anyway, in this on-chain game, the queuing rules really aren’t written for ordinary people.
