Golden Finance reports that on April 27, according to a diplomatic source cited by Al Jazeera, recent developments have acted as a catalyst, reinforcing the view that the United States and Iran need to permanently end hostilities. Islamabad sources say all parties are gradually approaching a framework that will provide context for reaching an agreement, not only involving Iran and the U.S., but essentially also including Gulf countries. Several Gulf nations have stated that the current situation necessitates their inclusion in any final resolution, as they do not want a repeat of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (also known as the Iran nuclear deal), when they felt excluded. Therefore, all these developments seem to be moving toward an agreement. Pakistan still remains hopeful for a second round of talks, although details are unclear, diplomatic efforts are ongoing.
