Deep Tide TechFlow News, April 27 — According to The Wall Street Journal, North Carolina Republican Senator Thom Tillis said on Sunday local time that he will support the confirmation of Kevin Warsh as Federal Reserve Chair, thereby removing the last major obstacle to Trump's pick to succeed Powell.
Tillis had refused to vote in support of Warsh for months, stating that as long as the Department of Justice's criminal investigation into Powell was ongoing, he would not push for any Federal Reserve nominee’s confirmation, calling the criminal investigation an attack on the central bank’s independence, but the investigation appears to have concluded last Friday.
