Senator Tillis ends months of obstruction, clearing the way for Waller's Federal Reserve Chair nomination
BlockBeats News, April 27—On Sunday local time, North Carolina Republican Senator Thom Tillis said he will support Kevin Warsh’s confirmation as Federal Reserve Chair, clearing the final major obstacle for Trump’s selected successor to Powell. Tillis has refused to vote in favor of Warsh for months, saying that as long as the Department of Justice’s criminal investigation into Powell is still ongoing, he will not urge the confirmation of any Federal Reserve nominee.
