During the May Day holiday, Shanghai Railway Station is expected to send 4.83 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 5.42%.
On April 22, reporters learned from Shanghai Railway Station (which includes Shanghai Station, Shanghai South Station, Shanghai Hongqiao Station, Shanghai Songjiang Station, Shanghai West Station, Nanxiang North Station, Anting North Station, Anting West Station, Jinshan North Station, and Liantang Station) that during the 8-day transportation period of the “May Day” holiday (from April 29 to May 6), Shanghai Railway Station is expected to send 4.83 million passengers, with an average of over 600k passengers per day, a year-on-year increase of 5.42%. To best meet travelers’ needs, Shanghai Railway Station has optimized train operation plans based on the peak timetable, planning to add multiple passenger trains to popular destinations such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Shandong, and Henan. Meanwhile, real-time tracking of holiday passenger flow will be conducted, with dynamic capacity increases through double-heading EMUs and adding carriages to conventional trains. (The Paper)
