CoinWorld News, DeepSeek announces that the input cache hit price for all APIs has been permanently reduced to one-tenth of the original price, covering v4-pro and v4-flash. The cache hit price for v4-flash has dropped from $0.028 to $0.0028 per million tokens, while cache miss and output prices remain unchanged. For v4-pro, the actual cache hit price, after stacking the previous 75% limited-time discount (until May 5), has decreased by another order of magnitude from the $0.03625 announced yesterday to $0.003625. The significant reduction in cache hit prices has a particularly large impact on agent scenarios: in agentic coding, models repeatedly read the same codebase context, resulting in cache hit rates that are usually much higher than in regular conversations.
