On the same day, Ali Reza Elhami, commander of the Iranian Air Defense Joint Command, stated during an inspection of Iranian Army and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps defense positions that Iran, utilizing independently developed new methods and equipment, “is ready to ambush enemy fifth-generation fighters and advanced drones.” He said that in previous battles, Iran’s air defense forces successfully shot down several enemy advanced fighters, over 160 drones including “MQ-9,” “Hermes,” “Lukas,” and other US-Israeli joint-invaded drones, as well as dozens of cruise missiles. They took “timely and precise” actions before the enemy launched offensive operations. Additionally, in operations carried out by the Army and Revolutionary Guard air defense units, multiple enemy fourth- and fifth-generation fighters were hit, damaged, or crashed. Elhami stated that this achievement is due to advanced tactics, modern equipment, and innovative use of air defense systems, which caused chaos for the enemy. (CCTV News)
