Recently, I’ve come across a bunch of PFPs saying they want to upgrade to membership, create brand narratives, feeling like changing the avatar from "Who am I" to "Which group can I join"... Honestly, long-term value definitely exists, but only if you're willing to stay long-term, not just changing your avatar today and your belief tomorrow. Memes with their attention shifts are more exciting, when celebrities shout, the whole internet rushes in, veteran players advise newcomers not to take the last step—I really get tired of hearing that. Later, I thought it was quite funny; I’ve also fallen for the "avatar = identity" trap. Anyway, I now see it as part of the peripheral culture. If you really want to go all-in, that’s fine, but don’t treat your position as a joke—write down your stop-loss and budget first before getting excited.
