I used to insist that the mainnet is the only authentic version, and as a result, after a series of operations, gas fees wore down my patience... Now I’m more used to treating it like archiving: small amounts, frequent interactions are sent to L2 for a smoother experience; if I need to hold long-term, or involve permissions and large transfers, I still go through the mainnet, the fees are high but I feel more secure. Basically, I treat gas as an "insurance fee," save where I can, but don’t cut corners on key actions. Recently, in the group, there’s been a debate about privacy coins, coin mixing, and compliance boundaries. I’m also quite conflicted; the more we argue, the more I think paths should leave traces, and funds shouldn’t be overly complicated. Anyway, I’d rather be slower and pay more than have records turned against me someday. That’s all for now.
