Odaily Planet Daily News: The U.S. Department of Justice has charged a U.S. Army Special Forces soldier, Gannon Ken Van Dyke, accusing him of using classified intelligence to illegally profit more than $400,000 on the prediction market platform Polymarket by predicting the U.S. raid on Venezuela.

According to CNN’s latest disclosure, Trump appears to have changed his stance on this matter. After learning that the soldier had placed bets on Maduro’s downfall, Trump immediately likened the incident to baseball great Pete Rose predicting his own team would win, and his response came across as dismissive. Trump said, “It’s like Rose predicting his team will win. If he predicted that they would lose, that would be bad, but if he predicts they will win, I will investigate this.”

In addition, given Trump’s support for Rose, at least several of Trump’s allies have said that Trump should pardon the soldier. (CNN)
