Techub News reports that Litecoin has disclosed a recent zero-day vulnerability that led to a DoS attack, affecting major mining pools. Unupdated mining nodes allowed an invalid MWEB (MimbleWimble Extension Block) transaction to be executed, enabling related tokens to be withdrawn to third-party DEXs. The Litecoin network rolled back these invalid transactions through a reorganization of 13 blocks, confirming they will not be included in the main chain. All valid transactions during this period remained unaffected. The vulnerability has now been fully patched, and the network is operating normally.
