Lately, I’ve been overwhelmed by all kinds of task platforms. Clearly, this is a “decentralized” world, but doing tasks is increasingly starting to feel like clocking in at a job: first linking your wallet, then signing a bunch of transactions, running through several chains, taking screenshots to submit as homework, and finally worrying about witch hunts and score drops. Honestly, I’m not afraid of the hassle; I’m afraid I don’t even understand what I’m authorizing or how my data is being recorded, all just to gamble on those uncertain airdrops.

What’s more embarrassing is that once the scoring system came out, everyone started researching “how to look like a real person.” As for me, a data nerd, I can only go back to the old methods: prioritize reading whitepapers and audits, give as few permissions as possible, just skip tasks I can’t finish, and prefer to miss out. Recently, the competition among Layer2s over TPS, fees, and subsidies has been heated, but the more generous the subsidies, the denser the tasks, and I feel like I’m just helping people run their transactions through… That’s it for now, I’m not messing around tonight.
