Recently, I’ve been debating whether to use L2 or the mainnet again, basically: save on gas or save on hassle. The L2 experience is indeed smooth, just a couple of taps and it’s done, but when I really need to move assets or reposition, I still keep some on the mainnet. It’s more expensive, yes, but at least I feel more at ease, especially when dealing with contract upgrades or bridges—I get a bit nervous.

And now, with all kinds of on-chain data tools and tagging systems being criticized for being outdated or misleading, I’m even less confident relying solely on “smart money tags” to make decisions… It’s fine to watch the show, but when it comes to actually acting, I tend to be a bit slower.

So I lowered my goal: I don’t chase the optimal route, just stick to a few commonly used paths. If the gas exceeds my mental threshold, I wait, and don’t fuss too much. This actually helps me stick to it better; otherwise, constantly calculating and recalculating, I’d wear myself out.
