🔥 Involved in a $263 million cryptocurrency scam, a 22-year-old American man sentenced to 70 months


Evan Tangeman, a California resident, was sentenced to 70 months in prison for participating in a cryptocurrency scam with an alleged amount of approximately $263 million. According to a U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announcement, Tangeman pleaded guilty in December 2025, admitting that he helped a criminal organization launder at least $3.5 million in illegal funds. In addition to imprisonment, he was also sentenced to three years of supervised release.
