On April 26, local time April 25, a shooting incident occurred at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. U.S. President Trump was urgently evacuated from the scene. Trump and Vice President Vance were both unharmed, and the shooter has been arrested. Trump posted that law enforcement instructed everyone to evacuate, and he will hold a news briefing in the White House press briefing room in 30 minutes, confirming that the First Lady, the Vice President, and all cabinet members are safe. Fox News reporter Bret Baier described that he heard gunshots at the scene; everyone dropped down, and the Secret Service quickly took control. A senior White House official said the shooter charged toward the security checkpoint gate and fired at a Secret Service agent.
