Recently, I’ve been criticizing on-chain data tools for their lagging tags and even being misleading, so I’m even less willing to rely on others’ labels for my sense of security. To put it plainly, the most insidious part of unlimited contract authorization is: you think you’re not operating, but in fact, the permissions are still hanging outside.

I now basically treat revoking permissions as a habit like brushing my teeth before bed; if I don’t revoke, I always feel a bit uneasy. Especially after mining a lot, my wallet becomes more and more cluttered like a bookshelf, and I can’t even remember how much quota each pool initially approved after a couple of weeks… My biggest fear isn’t losing money, but losing control: losing money is just paying tuition, but losing control means you don’t even know where your money went. Anyway, I’d rather make it a bit more troublesome and revoke permissions periodically, so I can sleep more peacefully.
