That old alarm clock on my desk is ringing again—drip-drip-drip—like mainnet gas spikes and immediately turns into a life-or-death summons: you either click to confirm and pay your tuition fee right now, or you play dead and wait for it to stop... Plainly put, for ordinary people the compromise is just two words: don’t rush. If it’s really time to do something on the mainnet (moving big amounts, signing important contracts), that’s when I go in; otherwise, when I’m just tinkering—switching things back and forth, doing interactions, checking in on my daily tasks—I hide out in L2. It’s less of a hassle, less gas, and the experience doesn’t feel as much like burning money just to keep warm.

Recently, memes and celebrity “buy this now” shills have been yanking attention back and forth again. I see newcomers charging in to the rhythm of that alarm clock—basically, they’re just footing the bill for someone else. Either way, what I care about more right now is this: before entering, draw a take-profit line first—whether I can get up and leave when the alarm rings, instead of continuing to sleep until I’m hauled away.
