These past two days, I’ve been watching L2 people fire back and forth over TPS, fees, and subsidies—who’s more appealing. To be blunt, I’m going to “pause” for a bit and not keep scrolling… If you’re just an ordinary user, don’t pretend you’re a professional with all the theory: for small amounts and high-frequency transactions, just stick to L2—save on gas and save yourself the hassle; for large amounts, long-term holding, or anything involving permissions/treasuries, it’s still better to go back to the mainnet so you can sleep peacefully. Also, don’t let ads pull you off track when it comes to the user experience—bridges, withdrawal times, wallet prompts, and stuff like that: only when you actually use them do you find out who’s “saving money” and who’s “saving their life.” My approach right now is: stop—don’t cross-chain recklessly; pause and take a look at contract permissions and the fee breakdown; pause again before hitting confirm—moving slower can actually mean paying less “tuition.”
