Intel officially introduces the concept of "Agent PC"
A reporter learned today from Intel that Intel has officially put forward the concept of “Intelligent Agent PC.” It is reported that an Intelligent Agent PC is an AI PC optimized for use by intelligent agents. Its product forms include laptops, Mini PCs, all-in-ones, AI Boxes, AI NAS, and edge gateways. It adopts a hybrid architecture of “local auxiliary brain + cloud main brain,” supporting sensitive tasks to stay on-device, while high-capability tasks are called from the cloud as needed. Among them, the “auxiliary brain” capability is made up of local AI and small- to medium-sized models on the PC, while the “main brain” collaborates with remote AI and large models. The mainstream configuration of Intelligent Agent PC uses third-generation Core Ultra 8-core/16-core processors and 16GB or more of memory, and runs mid-sized language models such as Qwen 3.5 (9B/4B). In addition, Intel revealed that the explosive popularity of “Lobster” in March led to tight supply of X86 PCs. Note: In September 2023, Intel first officially proposed the concept of “AI PC.” (Cailian Press)
