#震荡行情交易策略 Last weekend, late at night, a single needle almost caused me to lose half a year's salary.

Thinking back now, I still get chills. In May last year, on a Sunday afternoon, I opened a 4x ETH long position, with a stop loss set 0.5% below the lower boundary of the range. At 3 a.m., a 15% spike directly pierced through, triggering the stop loss at the lowest point, then the price rebounded within five minutes.

That one needle wiped out half a year's profit.

Later, I learned that weekend defensive positions can't rely solely on stop-loss lines. Now I always keep an extra trick: watch the funding rate. If the weekend rate is still positive and longs are crowded, it indicates there’s still room for a drop. I will proactively reduce or even close my position, not betting on that small probability.

Secondly, only use isolated margin over the weekend, never use full margin. If an isolated margin position gets liquidated, you only lose that margin; a full margin liquidation means losing everything.

That needle taught me: weekends aren’t for making money, they’re for preserving your principal. Only by protecting your capital can you have stories to tell on Monday.
