My current definition of "long-term" is quite realistic: not a year, at most a quarter, more often 4-8 weeks. The attention economy moves so fast that when a hot topic switches, what was trending yesterday is like it never happened today… Repeated chasing just means repeatedly paying tuition.

My own rough method to avoid getting burned is: wait two days before jumping into a new narrative, first see if on-chain interactions are truly useful or just a bunch of addresses exchanging data. Recently with AI Agents and automated trading, many people are hyping it up, but since no one talks about security details, I dare not hold heavy positions, especially with un-audited authorization, signatures, or contracts—I'd rather earn less. Anyway, the route needs to be clear, don’t be led by Twitter emotions, it’s exhausting.
