Beijing Launches the "Clear Beijing, Focused Purification" Live Streaming Ecosystem Governance Special Campaign
To improve the standardized governance level of local online live streaming platforms and build a clean online live streaming ecosystem, the Beijing Cyberspace Administration, in collaboration with the Municipal Propaganda Department, the Municipal Market Supervision Administration, the Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, the Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, and the Municipal Cultural Law Enforcement Team, jointly launched the “Clear Jinghua, Focus on Clean Broadcasting” special action for live streaming ecosystem governance. This special action will last for one month, focusing on joint governance of the “four types of chaos and two types of issues,” specifically including: live streaming chaos spreading incorrect values, false marketing live streaming chaos, live streaming chaos infringing on minors’ rights, inappropriate profit-making live streaming chaos, illegal business operations, and illegal criminal activities. A relevant person from the Beijing Cyberspace Administration stated that during the special action, efforts will be strengthened in overall coordination, working with relevant departments to increase patrol and monitoring of the “four types of chaos and two types of issues,” conducting strict online inspections, coordinated handling, supervision and inspection, and joint law enforcement according to law. This aims to further clarify the main responsibilities of local online live streaming platforms, promote standardized operation of live streaming activities, foster a healthy and upward live streaming ecosystem, and create a clean, upright, and positive online live streaming space.
