The court has sentenced a participant in a major crypto scam

A 22-year-old resident of California has been found guilty of involvement in one of the largest crypto scams in recent years. The criminal group stole over $263 million using social engineering techniques.

With the stolen funds, they rented luxury mansions and spent huge sums on lavish entertainment and cars. The young scammer had his Lamborghini Urus, Rolls Royce Ghost, and Porsche GT3 RS confiscated.

The prosecutor noted that the criminals' audacity was incredible, and their goal was luxury at the expense of deceived investors.

Sentence: 70 months in prison and 3 years under supervision after release.
