Lately, I’m really hesitant to just look at milestone screenshots for projects, too many are just good at storytelling… I prefer to check the treasury expenditures: where the money is spent, how often a transaction occurs, whether they’re always lumping everything into “market cooperation/ecosystem incentives.” Honestly, spending money can reveal the mindset—research and development, audits, infrastructure are slow but solid; big incentives to boost TVL often make me nervous, after all, when new L1/L2 incentives are launched, old users complain about mining and selling, which isn’t without reason. Milestones also need to be evaluated for a “sense of acceptance,” like whether they can be reproduced, if there are migration costs, if anyone is really using it… I personally prefer to miss out on the hype rather than be that goldfish chasing after the feed and bumping around.
