I only told her three things.
First, protect the principal. Never fill the bag again, no all-in trades, keep positions light per trade. When the loss is in place, stop the loss immediately. As long as the principal is there, opportunities will always be there.
Second, don’t be greedy or gamble. Don’t try to guess the bottom or the top—only take the middle-stage profit you can actually understand. When the market starts moving, follow the trend; when the market is weak, test with small positions.
Third, take profits and pull them back into your wallet. Every time you’re profitable, first get back the principal and part of the profit, then slowly roll the rest forward. Going a bit slower is fine. The worst thing is getting wiped out again to zero.
