So, how far can SHIB really go this year? By looking at current data, the token is trading around $0.000008, almost at the same level as at the start of 2024, just before its spectacular surge to $0.00004534 in March. It's crazy to think that just two years ago, this 462% increase seemed impossible.
Things are moving slowly right now. Massive withdrawals of SHIB from exchanges to personal wallets are creating downward pressure, which is rather positive. And then there's this ETF story circulating — T. Rowe Price even included SHIB in its basket, opening doors for potential approval. Grayscale is also talking about eligibility with the SEC, so catalysts are not lacking.
Some analysts, including Telegaon, believe that SHIB could even surpass its 2024 peak and reach $0.0000543 before the end of the year. Changelly and Coincodex are more cautious with their targets around $0.000009-0.000010, but it's still a respectable progression. The change from a 4-year to a 5-year Bitcoin cycle could also trigger a broader market rally.
The catch? The ecosystem remains fragile. Internal issues and the team's lack of clarity still weigh on the dynamics. So yes, there is potential, but nothing is guaranteed. Keep a close eye on it.
