I noticed that the SHIB burn activity dropped significantly at the end of March. The daily rate plummeted — on March 25, there were still 15 million being burned, but six days later it fell to less than a thousand. That sharp decline is a bit strange.

But the interesting detail is that the community has already managed to permanently remove half of the circulating supply of Shiba Inu. It’s an important milestone, considering all this volatility. February was more active — there was a peak of 84 million burned on February 28 and another of 54 million on March 15. After that, things really cooled down.

Separately, Shibarium underwent a major backend update and has now entered a stabilization phase. The system had to rebuild the entire transaction history. This greatly affected performance — before the update, there were about 1,230 transactions per day, well below the peak of 10,940 recorded on March 26.

We still don’t know why token burning slowed down so much, but the Shibarium team hasn’t provided any official explanation. These community-driven things are always volatile, relying on third-party platforms and user participation.
