In the past few days, I’ve kept seeing a wave of narratives about AI Agents and automated trading. Everyone’s talking about “running strategies for you,” but honestly, I care more about what authorizations it’s asking you to grant… My red line is pretty simple: never let mnemonic phrases go into any webpage/form/customer service chat box, even if it looks almost identical. For signing, I only acknowledge the actions I understand—if I don’t, I shut it off. I’d rather miss out.

Not long ago, I almost fell for it myself. A phishing site had you keep “refreshing/retrying” while it kept you waiting in a queue— the more panicked you are, the more likely you are to click to confirm. Later, I calmed down and cleared all the permissions, so I managed to dodge a bullet. It’s fine to pick up deals slowly, but don’t treat your wallet like a testing ground.
