OPEN Mainnet went live today, and there is a noteworthy point in the first phase: this blockchain layer called Open Datanet is designed as a system where everyone can directly contribute data that supports artificial intelligence. The really interesting part is how participants are rewarded. Contributors who verify data can earn $OPEN based on the actual impact of their contributions and appear on the leaderboard. This system operates through a Proof-of-Attribution mechanism; meaning anyone using data for AI training or operation directly receives tokens as payment. It’s a well-thought-out approach for transparency and fair participation.

There’s also an economic aspect. OpenLedger and Cambridge Blockchain Society jointly launched a $5 million grant program. Additionally, in the KAITO campaign, 250k $OPEN will be distributed over three months for quality content. They have allocated significant resources to develop the Open Datanet ecosystem. The partnership with @OpenledgerHQ also supports this vision and opens a new field for decentralized AI research. It’s worth keeping a close eye on this project.
